David Sussan’s career in the Film Industry spans over twenty-five years. He has worked on feature films including: “King Kong” and “Annie Hall”; Television Series “The Andros Targets” and Arlene Dahl’s “Lovescope” and “The Show” a co-production with Major League Baseball; hundreds of television commercials for such top clients as Mc Donald’s, Merrill Lynch, & Ford Motor Company. In addition, he has worked on numerous corporate films, and was one of the first people to use High Definition video for his work for Merrill Lynch.
David has won numerous awards for outstanding television commercials, including the Clio, Telly, Effie and Mobius Awards. He was also a finalist at The International Electronic Cinema Festival (High Definition Award) for his work on Merrill Lynch, as well as a finalist for the London International Advertising Awards for his anti-smoking commercial for the Massachusetts Department of Health. He is a Director and Assistant Director member of the Director’s Guild of America.
Sussan opened his own production company The Sussan Group in 1986, producing many high profile commercial campaigns. In 2000, he was the Executive Producer on the feature film “Minimum Wage” which won two (2) awards at the No Dance Film Festival in Park City.
In 2010, he worked as Managing Director of Roker Shorts, a division of Al Roker Entertainiment which was established to be a full service creative production company who core principles were to create the best commercials, corporate films and videos, webisodes, TV promos and branded content on a global basis.
